’Twas the Night Before 47’s Finale

’Twas the night before the finale, and all through the tribe,

The fire was dwindling, four torches still alive.

With the jury at Pondy, their questions ready to go,

Those heading back to camp prepared, ready to start the show

Alphabetically first, Rachel is castaway number one

Challenge beast, successful spy, and advantage queen - what hasn’t she done?!

But maybe that’s the issue, fly too close to the sun and fire can determine your game

Either way, as a Survivor 46 alternate I may be biased, but she appears to have a strong shot all the same

Second up, Sam, is a likeable castaway with a few magnifico moves tied to his name

The only guy left and youngest of Gata has navigated this season like a mouse in a maze

Manipulating and maneuvering, he’s shown to have a keen pulse and kept his threat level at bay

However, will the jury see him as the chef? Or just a well-informed patron at this season’s buffet of gameplay

Sue is next - a 45-year-old with cheekbones as sharp as Jeff’s pocket knife

Her game has ramped up these last few episodes, proving her crafty and intentional when faced with strife

Also, while it didn’t cause a tsunami-sized wave, keeping her idol a secret, she was greatly restrained

Regardless, it’s now up to her peers if that’s enough for ‘Sole Survivor’ to be gained

And finally Teeny, who came in blazing hot

Winning the first Fishy of the season, acclaim was bought

Their relationships are strong and vulnerability inspiring

But is that enough to outdo others’ larger moves rapidly firing

So cin cin and prost to the season, the drama, the lore,

To the blindsides, the backstabs, and challenges galore.

Outwit, outplay, outlast, this cast has brought me delight

Merry Survivor to all, and to all a mouth-watering final night!
